RUARAKA DEANERY CJPC CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR 2020

Fr. John Anthony Kaiser Memorial 24th/08/2020

Today on the 23rd August 2020, the Catholic church in Kenya will be remembering Fr. Kaiser who died 20 years ago in cold blood. Fr. Kaiser spent his life defending the oppressed, seeking justice for the vulnerable people in the society as well as speaking out the evils of the society no matter who was doing it. He spoke fearlessly and called a sin by its name without fear or favour. Today we remember him for what he defended and advocated for “Justice for for the vulnerable” in the community.

Ruaraka Deanery CJPC Members Visit to Naivasha (last year) where Fr. Kaiser’s lifeless body was found 20 years ago.

In memory of the late Fr. John Kaiser, all of us are called to remember the vulnerable in the community and help them in whatever way we can. We also need to carry on the spirit of ensuring that all people live in a just and peaceful society. It all starts with us.

Theme for 2020: Solidarity and Justice for the Vulnerable in the society.

Here is this year’s prayer to mark this important day.

Environmental Conservation and Protection

Change comes as a result of realizing where we are as a people and engaging everyone young and old in rectifying our mess. Ruaraka Deanery CJPC recognizes the fact that Environmental Conservation is a key area that must be addressed to safeguard the future generations. Members of CJPC from all parishes in Ruaraka Deanery prioritize the keeping of our environment clean and ensuring that it is well conserved to safeguard the wellbeing of future generations.
